River Bend Motel

The River Bend Motel is located in the town of Spray, Oregon. Visitors can enjoy fishing, hunting, and hiking through the John Day Fossil Beds. We are centrally located to the Painted Hills, Clarno, and Sheep Rock Units of the John Day Fossil Beds National Monument.

Here you can enjoy bicycling & motorcycling at its best. Our motel is recognized by Travel Oregon as Bike Friendly. We are Pet Friendly as well. We are sponsors of the “Come Ride With Us” organization & welcome groups or singles.

We offer 5 “Pet Friendly” rooms with private bathrooms. The Elk room, Moose room & Bear room each have 1 queen bed along with 1 twin bed. The Cowboy room has 1 queen bed along with one set of twin-sized bunk beds. The Suite can sleep 5 with 2 queen beds in separate rooms, a twin-sized hide-a-bed, wet bar, and one bathroom with a shower.

Also available to rent is a vintage “Pet Friendly” Farm house, (known to all as the “White House”), adjacent to the motel property. It sleeps up to nine and has a full kitchen, living room, and one bathroom with a shower.

We offer 2 hostel-style rooms in the Tamarack which have 2 shared bathrooms with showers. The Tamarack bathrooms can also be rented by travelers who choose to camp behind the motel or by groups of bicyclists or motorcyclists needing a quick shower.

All of our rooms have satellite TV, A/C, microwave & hot water for coffee or tea. Condiments are included in each room.

In addition to all of the above we offer one 25-foot “parked” travel trailer as room for rent. RV1 is complete with a small kitchen and bathroom with a shower. There are 2 more open RV spots as well for your RV with sewer, power & water connections.
